I was looking for a replacement for an electric analog alarm clock I have had for over 20 years and this one seemed to fit bill. It looks great and the clock works well, but it failed to meet one of the key criteria I was looking for. While the clock itself is electric analog, the alarm is a digital beep. I'm sure it's just a matter of preference but I prefer a buzzing alarm, which was what I was looking for. A shame since this clock certainly looked the part. Too bad it doesn't have the movement driven buzzer my old clock has.

I looked and looked for a replacement for an alarm clock that I have had for 35 years . After a long search, reading countless reviews, I decided to take a chance on this one. It's the closest to my old alarm clock that is still made today, I'm sure. The only thing that's a little different (probably because it's new) the dial light is a little brighter. I am very happy to have found it.

Westclox makes great products! The analog alarm clock is easy to set for time and alarm features-- plus has a nice soft back light to make the time visible at night without lighting up the entire room. However, this very hard to find clock was sent in an envelope, rather than in a box. If any clock can survive any trip in an envelope, it would truly be a miracle! Needless to say, the clock face (although new) came with a crack in it. The envelope itself was coming open at the end, so the fact that the clock was even in the package was also a miracle. When I contacted the vendor in regards to the damage, they did get back to me promptly, but offered no apology for the product arriving damaged. Instead, they wanted proof via e-mail pictures to show the damage. On top of this, when I stated in my e-mail to them that I really liked this clock and wanted an undamaged new clock, rather than a dented in one-- and this would mean to send one in a box-- they replied to just throw it out...Read more
