Product Review

This little travel alarm clock has so many great features, we are sure that you'll want to use it at home, too! The large, easy-to-read LCD display shows the day, date, time, alarm time, and temperature. LCD displays are great for people who can't stand bright digits shining at them while they sleep, but if you do wake up while it's still dark in the room, press the button for an ultra-bright blue backlight that will clearly show just what time it is. The super-loud alarm has hi/lo volume control. And due to popular demand, Westclox has included a dedicated nap alarm so that you can sleep up to an hour without having too many buttons to push or reset alarm times. Battery operated. Imported.

Pros: Large display, blue background, press top button for illumination during the night, snooze alarm, keeps good time, built-in thermometer.

Cons: A bit bulky, alarm function unreliable.

When I first received this alarm clock via mail and was checking out the features, I discovered the alarm function was not working. I could tell the alarm was going off by looking at the flashing alarm icon on the display, but there was no audible alert. Being the ace electronic technician that I am, I whacked it a couple of times and the alarm started working. It seemed to be working okay, so I packed it for a two week vacation we were taking. It worked okay except for the very last day (the day we needed to get up early for the flight back home). Fortunately, I had a "back-up" wind-up alarm that got us up in time. The audible alarm still wasn't working when we got back home. Being curious, I disassembled the clock and found that the solder connection for one of the...Read more

The alarm broke after falling off a night stand. The switch to turn on the alarm froze in the off position so now its not even an alarm clock. It's plenty loud and the temperature feature works great. But again, it's definitely a cheap alarm clock that breaks easily.

Clock is supposed to be loud for the hearing impaired. It is. Only problem is the loudness is high pitched and most people, myself included, that need a loud alarm have trouble hearing high pitches. Fortunately my wife hears it. But it will be replaced when I find another one.

Otherwise is a good clock with good features.
