This review is from: Westclox Projection alarm clock 70006 I suspect I know what the problem found by the original reviewer was. The clock's projector system has a focus adjustment. After tweaking the focus adjustment, I got a nice sharp image projected on the ceiling, giving me the time and the temperature. It isn't very bright and can only be read when the room is dark, but that is the only time it is needed. The only thing I'd like to see changed about the clock is that, since I'm hearing impaired, the alarm sound is not quite loud enough. It is plenty loud when I'm wearing my hearing aid, but I don't sleep with the aid and need a bit more noise to be sure and wake me up. The clock mechanism itself is battery operated, so it keeps track of the time even during power failures. The clock uses a power-line adapter to power the backlight and projector. It would be a great design change and rate 5 stars if they used the AC power source to power an amplifier that made the alarm sound adjustably louder when it is plugged in. 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By Lisa K. (central Illinois) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Westclox Projection alarm clock 70006 We looked at several projection clocks on the internet before choosing this one. When we plugged it in, the projection was horrible! It had about a 3x3 red square that you couldn't even see the time. Then when we wrote the company about returning it, they first refused the return, saying we "damaged" the package. I would like to know how am I supposed to get the lousy clock out w/out even opening it?!? Finally they did accept the return and got the money back. Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Westclox Projection alarm clock 70006 This is exactly what I was looking for. My father wakes up often at night and he wanted a clock that he could see without getting out of bed, and having the time and temperature project on the ceiling is just what he wanted. The price was perfect. |
