Westclox Bold II Snooze Dialite

I purchased two of these clocks because both the copy and the photo of the item showed it was made in US. It is not!!! It is made in China like every other clock I could have bought at my local discount store without paying shipping. If, like me, you are avoiding Chinese products, do not buy this.

I ordered a Westclox with Dialite but what came was something else.
I do like the something else but I wanted what I ordered, which was the classic Westclox with the gentle Dialite backlit face. I'll keep looking.
The item which arrived was not working right away but a swift smack on the face got the second hand moving and it's been fine since.

This Dialite alarm clock features a soothing, lighted dial illuminated by a small orange bulb behind the face of the clock. It's not so bright that it will keep you awake, but is clear enough so you can see the clock--and tell you much sleep you're losing on nights when you're tossing and turning.

It has an electric quartz movement, which means it DOES tick, but again, it's not annoying enough to keep you awake. The alarm is a beep, so much less jarring than the old models which buzzed loudly. Yikes! The alarm set hand has a little circle on the end of it which covers the marks on the clock face, making it hard to get an exact setting. You sort of have to experiment. It also does not have any type of alarm indicator to let you know the alarm is set. That would have been handy.

Overall, a nice little analog clock with an old-fashioned lighted dial. I like mine and got excellent service from the seller.
