Product Description
Westclox began manufacturing the Big Ben in 1908, thereby launching one of the longest running products in American history. The replica available today is a faithful to its 1939 Big Ben predecessor. The full metal case and base are finished in Brushed Pewter and accented by a cream dial. It also features modern conveniences as a quartz analog movement and pleasant ôbeepö alarm sound.

Add a little retro style to the bedroom with this fun alarm clock from Westclox Big Ben. Modeled after a vintage Westclox 1939 alarm clock, the sleek timepiece blends into most bedroom décors. Its base and body feature full metal construction and beautiful pewter finishing. Westclox improves on the 1939 clock by implementing Quartz analog movement, protected by a glass face lens. The clock hands illuminate at night, pointing at easy-to-read numerals. This Big Ben replaces the jarring bell alarm with a more soothing beep. Pressing the knob atop the clock turns the alarm off. The clock measures 5 by 5.175 by 2 inches and weighs 11 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

This clock looks really cool. Unfortunately the second hand tick is loud enough that it was banished to the guest bedroom (I like ticking, but he doesn't). So since I never have to actually use it as an alarm clock, it doesn't matter much that the clock runs nearly an hour fast every few weeks. This is ridiculous for a modern clock, IMO. Sure looks cool though! Did I mention that? I have two other Big Ben clocks. A baby ben traveling alarm that I use in the bedroom (keeps excellent time) and a Moonbeam (also ticks too loud and glows too bright for the bedroom). I wish the electric clocks made by this company had sweep second hands and optional switches for illuminating. Enough rambling.

I've had the clock for about a month and it keeps perfect time. I lost the screw which holds on the back of the clock when I inserted the battery. Where do you think I can find a replacement?
