This retro alarm clock is an authentic reproduction, down to the small details of the 1949 Style 6 original, with two modern improvements: a quartz analog movement that keeps time with a AA battery (not included), so you don't have to remember to wind the clock every night, and a pleasant crescendo beep alarm. The green metal case with chrome trim and white antiqued dial with black hands and numerals make for a unique clock that will complement a retro decor in the bedroom, study, or office. The luminous hands make for easy night-time viewing. The clock also features a separate alarm indicator, a second hand, and separate time and alarm setting knobs in the back. Dimensions: Width: 5-1/4 inches, Height: 5-1/2 inches, Depth: 2-3/4 inches, Dial is 4 inches diameter.

In spite of the fact that this item leads with WESTCLOX, as if it were a manufacturer name, it is a 100% made in China knock-off. It looks just as pictured, a very cool retro green color on the metal housing (though the dial has a bizarre bile green-yellow wash at it's edges which isn't particularly fetching) but the workmanship is second-class all the way. (I grew up with Big Ben clocks, and know the difference.) The tiny PLASTIC knobs on back for setting the alarm are barely protruding enough to get hold of them and set the alarm. It requires the removal of two TINY Phillips head screws to put in the AA battery. How convenient! I'd return if I hadn't had to pay shipping twice. I'll be amazed if it lasts longer than a year. So....if you only want looks, fine. But if you expect old fashioned craftsmanship and quality materials, look elsewhere. Especially for the price.

This clock looks great and works great. It's bigger than I anticipated, which I love...turned out to be the perfect size.

Looks cute and retro, the alarm is great, and the clock doesn't tick too loudly. The color is gorgeous in person...a little cooler in tone than it looks online.

Great product for a great price!
