My son (an avid Dr. Who fan) likes this clock but he has to be extremely careful with it since it apparently is made of plastic. It looks like metal rim and hardware, but I don't think it is ... Appears to be fragile like if the alarm goes off and he bumps it off his bedside table, it might get dented or scratched up or worse. BUT! he loves it for just sheer Dr. Who value (so it was a hit Christmas gift) but I think this was very overpriced. :-)
