There are at least 2 significant reasons why this clock radio may be perfect for you. Large Snooze Bar 110-120V AC

Amazon.com Product Review

Designed for deep sleepers, the Timex T438T super-loud clock radio boosts the volume significantly to wake even the most ardent snoozer. Users can wake to their choice of a buzzer, the AM/FM radio, or a combination of the two, or they can fumble for the large, easy-to-find snooze bar to catch a few extra minutes. The radio also includes a dual alarm function for beds that sleep two people, a must when each rises at different times. And because the manufacturer is Timex--the number one name in timepieces--you can rest assured that the clock will stay accurate over the years.

Additional features include a sleep timer with a max setting of 90 minutes; a custom calendar with day, month, and year info; advance alarm settings for two, five, or seven days (a nice bonus for those who like to plan ahead); a digital display with an adjustable three-position brightness control; and a battery backup system that guards against power failures. All this in a sleek, low-profile silver housing that takes up little space while adding panache to your night stand or end table. The T438 comes with a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice for the price, March 3, 2004

I bought this item for my son and was rather pleased with it. I was surprised that Timex hasn't sold this radio on its audio merits which are actually pretty good with stations broadcasting a stronger FM signal. The tuner is still only analog and therefore subject to drift, but the mono speaker sounds surprisingly good. If this radio had a PLL tuner it would merit a four star (or perhaps more) rating. The clock features are adequate and what one would expect from Timex. (the Former Waterbury Clock Co.) It is not a Boston Acoustics Receptor, however, considering the price, its a good buy

Ok, my intial take on this was nice looking, dual alarms, great deal. I was wrong! Don't be misled, this may have dual alarms but one is for the radio and the second alarm is a buzzer. Why would Timex possibly create an alarm clock where both alarms couldn't be radio alarms? I hate waking up to that annoying buzzer sound but now between my wife and I, one of us has to. Second, the viewing angle is poor, it's hard to see the minute digit if the clock is facing slightly away from you. The screen is recessed into the clock so the side of the screen blocks your view of the time. Third, the date is so large on the screen it is almost confusing because it's right up agains the time. I know that's being picky, but figured I'd mention it.

The one I bought does not work. The alarm feature only accepts one setting, even though I followed the instructions precisely. The AM reception is awful, nothing but whistles. The display is nice. I will not buy Timex again, they need to stick to watches.
