I love all kinds of timepieces, and needed a new alarm clock for my bedroom and travel. I ordered three different models, this being one of them. This particular clock was easy to set up, but its construction is extremely awkward... so much so that I returned it the same day I received it. Perhaps it could double as a night light for reading books, as promised - at least I assume that's what the clip was for on the back of the clock. However, there was no way to unfold the clock to make it stand upright on a desk or nightstand in any way that was stable and squared up. I couldn't see ever being satisfied with the design of this clock, so I sent it back. I'd avoid buying this item.

This clock is a basic clock that functions well and setting the time and alarm is easy. Having the light feature is also handy when one is traveling and in an unfamiliar room at night.

Although it has worked flawlessly at keeping time and setting the alarm so far (3 months) it is not as well designed as I would like. It is almost impossible to stand up (despite the swivel design), and the attached light is so bright it wakes up my companion when I use it to check the time. A back light display would be better. This light is almost like a flash light and not really aimed appropriately to see the clock. I still would choose this one again over the last two clocks I bought from other manufacturers which DON'T keep time, which obviously is the most important thing. And it's a reasonably small size, good for travel.
