3 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By fire105 "ALLAN" (CALIFORNIA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Out of the package you will see that this Radio is much cheaper than what it looks like in the pictures. it has no base/trebble control and no base boost. The speakers sound cheap. There is no external antenna and the am/fm has lousy reception. The tuner dial is too sensitive.
I sent mine back for refund, you will wasting your time and money unless all you want it for is the novelty. Also this radio can be bought alot cheaper than this on another Amazon site and do a Google search. By This review is from: STUDEBAKER Stereo CD Player / Dual Alarm Clock Radio (Electronics) Like most folks here, I bought this radio for its cool retro look alone. It was supposed to go in a game room I have which has retro decor. It definitely looks like it came out of Fonzie's room, but I have to agree with everyone else here that it sounds atrocious. It would have taken the manufacturer of this radio no real expense at all to make it sound half way decent considering they were already charging an outrageous price of $81. Smaller cheaper radios I have sound far better than this. Putting out something as lousy sounding as this piece of junk is obviously a ploy by the manufacturer that figures most people will keep the radio for they are so much into the look, even if it does sound really rotten. So why bother to make it sound half way decent. Well it didn't work here, and definitely not for $81. Mine went Adios Muchachos. Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake we all did. The sound on this thing really sucks... |
