Sternreiter Double Bell Alarm Clock - Gold

I bought this clock after buying one of the retro Westclox windups made in China. The Westclox was all plastic inside and out, and failed after a few months, so I searched the web for a quality windup clock and found this one. All metal construction--including the gears inside. I've had it for about three years now and it works like it did on day one. Keeps excellent time for at least 24 hours after winding. As the other reviewer noted, its ticks are quite loud so my wife makes me put it in an adjacent bedroom. The alarm will wake the dead--even when it's not in the same casket.

This is a great rendition of the classic brass alarm clock at a reasonable price. Made in Europe, fully mechanical (keywound) alarm and movement, and with all-metal parts as far as I can tell. Be warned though if you buy it that it has a very distinctive and rather loud tick, definitely not for light sleepers!

Got this clock a little while ago and so far it is working great. The clock is keeping time well and the alarm is loud and long enough to wake a heavy sleeper. It does have a loud tick when its night time and everything else has settled down but don't let that discourage you. I find the ticking actually helps me fall asleep.
