this is a nice sound machine with lots of different sounds and settings. first of all, there are two alarms on it, which is nice if you don't always have to get up at the same time everyday. also, it is nice that it also has a radio function, not just sounds. there are a couple of downsides i have noticed though. when i first started using the machine, i focused a lot on the repeating patterns in the sounds 9i imagine all sound machines do this though), but it wasn't noticeable for the white noise function. another thing i noticed is that sometimes the functions get stuck; not the buttons, but the settings themselves. i may have it on the rain setting, and then try to switch it to the radio, but it doesn't do anything. the last negative thing i noticed is that the clock glows a little too brightly at night, so i tend to cover it up at night. all in all, it isn't a bad sound machine at all, and the negatives really aren't so bad. i'm sure there are better machines out there,...Read more

I like a continuous noise machine to help me sleep at night especially when on the road. What's important for me on the road is:
- Smooth continuous sounds
- An alarm clock
- Reasonably small

At home, add:
- Battery Backup
- Self Setting

For my kiddos add:
- Radio player
- CD Player
- Night light

This machine is a bit bulky as far as noise playing alarm clocks go, but it has some great noise options. I does have an alarm clock with two settings. It is not self setting. The radio works better than my other noise machine alarm clocks. There is no CD player. The screen is sufficiently bright to serve as a low powered night light with makes my kiddos happy. All in all it's a good tool and a great value for the money.
