Chass "Pre-Set Solar" Travel Alarm

From the specs, I thought this would be the perfect travel clock. It had everything I was looking for, "always on" light the prime among them. The display is large, however the "always on" glow isn't bright enough to read the display. It's useful for locating the clock to push the button that turns on the brighter light. Only moderately happy - may try to return it.

This great travel clock has a lot of excellent features - large readable display in the day, good clear display when you click its bar during the night to see the time (or you can choose to have the display lighted all night), "solar" panels to supplement the battery, collapsible top for compact travel, etc.

Unfortunately, it has one fatal flaw: the audible alarm is too weak. More than once the alarm has gone off and I slept through it. I have not had this problem with other portable alarm clocks. Given a choice, I would have bought one of the new Timex travel alarm clocks that I saw in Target the other day.

I've been wanting a travel clock that had a "always-on" night light and thought I had found a good one. When I got this product I check it out and was very happy with it until I tried the alarm. The alarm sound is barely audible and there was no way it was going to wake me. I've had louder wristwatch alarms. Sad to say that I'm sending this back.
