Summary: Quiet Alarm Clock 2010-07-03
Comment: After years of buying cheap alarm clocks for $9.99 at local retail stores, I have found the loud ticking or the bright light of the clock face keeps me awake more than it does wake me up on time. One cheap alarm clock had a back that would fall out if I moved it and the battery would shift stopping the clock. Several other cheap alarm clocks had lights on the face that were too bright and/or I had to keep the clock in a dresser drawer to avoid hearing the loud ticking. Thanks to an Amazon.com search for a quiet alarm clock, I found this quiet clock that has a button on top to display the face in the dark with a small light. I am glad it has a second hand and the sturdy construction keeps it working on a battery that stays in place. This is the right size, classic design, and quality I have been looking for all of these years. I don't need a larger clock with music, buzzers, snooze alarms and MP3 options. I just need a clock with a nice alarm that doesn't keep me awake.
Perfect. It wasn't that much more than the cheap, poor quality tickers for $9.99. Well worth the extra few dollars.

Summary: WAKE ME UP! 2010-06-29
Comment: I'm so happy to have found a great clock that wakes me up in the morning with a wonderful sound. Not a loud startling sound but a pleasant sound. Also, no ticking of the second hand as it goes around. Other clocks I've had to put a pillow on them because of the tick, tick, tick. I almost did not buy because the cost seemed high, but now I'm so happy I did. Worth every penny!

Summary: kind of a rip off 2010-05-28
Comment: The clock doesn't have an AM/PM indicator, so if you don't turn off the alarm every morning, it'll go off every 12 hours. Also, there is not a choice for snooze/no snooze. In the photo, the clock face looks like it has this cool texture to it with lots of little bumps, when in fact the face has a sticker on it with pictures of little bumps on it--no joke. And for this kind of money, it would be nice to have small date and day of the week indicators...not that I was expecting those.

The alarm is loud enough. The little light that goes on when you press the snooze button on top is ingenious. And the clock looks stylish. So after thinking about it for awhile, I'm not that disappointed and I'd probably buy this again. It works, after all.

Comment: I bought this for my 91 year old mother - nothing seems to work for her. I have heard no complaints, so it must be a great product!

Summary: Question on user interface 2009-01-17
Comment: Assume:
You are in bed, you think that you have set the alarm.
The bedlight is on.
The clock is on the dresser, about ten feet away.
Can you tell if the alarm is set ? Without getting out of bed.
