I love this alarm clock! The sound is crazy but I love it! At first its like a loud scream then comes like an evil laughing (loud too). So for sure for sure, you won't fall asleep. :) Some say its creepy the sound it makes, which in my opinion, makes it a better alarm clock to have.

My son is a pirates of the Caribbean fan and loved this alarm clock. Keeps him in the "aye, Matey" mood. Really cute and quite a lot of fun.
