1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Item, December 26, 2005

This item is absolutely horrible. I now understand why the price is so far off the "list price". This should sell for $5. Poorly constructed. The antenna feels like it will break at any moment, the detachable speakers do not stay attached to the unit. The sound quality is worse than a $5 dollar clock radio, and the the button/usage layout is not user friendly at all. Oh, and I live in Boston, and this thing can't sync to the atomic clock. Weather display is showing sun and its raining out. What a piece of junk.

This review is from: Oregon Scientific Digital Alarm Clock Radio (Electronics)
I have owned other Oregon Scientific products and had high expectations. This thing looked and sounded like a cheap prize from a time share company. Sound was poor, flimsy construction, controls were not intuitive. I sent it back. It was good for a laugh out loud when I opened the box, but that's the best thing I can say about it.

(REAL NAME)
Overall a decent product but I hate the volume control- I like to listen to the radio or music very softly at night but this has numbered volume levels with 1 being loud enough to hear across the room. Backllight makes the screen hard to read and the preprogrammed nature sounds are tinny-not so relaxing. You get what you pay for but I wouldn't buy again.
