This is the best alarm clock I've ever owned. No confusing buttons it's simple to set. The LED's are not so bright that they keep me awake and the size is just perfect. The alarm beep is plenty loud. If you're looking for "Bose" sound from your radio then this one isn't for you but if, like me, you just prefer waking to music then you're gonna love this alarm clock.

It's small. It's tuned to NPR. It's an alarm clock. Check.

Great pros:
1. red lights- better for your sleep...I read somewhere that the red light doesn't disturb your sleep as much and doesn't destroy your night vision if you need it. My sleep is fragile enough without a thousand points of LED blue light pricking out across the room.
2. Extra dot light comes on to assure you that the alarm is actually on.

Cons:
none. waking up to alarm sucks so obviously I don't love this thing, but for a thankless job, it performs nicely.

not five stars because I like to save that for really awesome things!

I don't normally get to excited about clock radios, this is no exception. It is easy to set up, battery back-up, not too bright, picks up local stations well, has worked every day like a charm, has some heft and rounded corners (so you don't hurt your hand or knock it off the table when you back hand it). Worth 3X it's cost.
