I got this as a present for Christmas. It responds to 43 voice commands has a thermometer and Fm radio. It has a nightlight and 6 sleep sounds you can play. The alarm has 6 different sounds and the display auto dims in low light. You can simply say "Hello Ivee" and she starts listening for your command. No more accidentally turning my alarm off when I meant to hit the snooze button!!! Now all I have to do is simply say "snooze". And when I want to turn the alarm off I just say "off". She then says "good morning!" and tells you the time, date and temp. Very Cool!!!
Only thing is an hour after I got the thing the microphone went bad. I have to get right up next to the microphone now and talk LOUD or she can't hear me. Also the speaker's volume is very low even on high and makes a cracking sound like it might be blown. I purchased this through another seller but I figured I would put the review on Amazon for people to see. The concept of the alarm is cool and the design is a lot better than most of the other digital alarm clocks out there. I was on the search for a nice big LED alarm clock that wasn't hideous. I stumbled across this around the time of it's release. When I first started using it, there were A LOT of issues. It would NOT understand most of the voice commands unless I spoke in a LOUD STERN voice emphasizing "HELLO ivee" so that it would pick up the first part of the phrase to actually respond. I noticed that they edited the instruction booklet instead of making a new one because of some issues the clock probably had. There are random times Ivee would just talk on her own when I didn't say any voice commands. That actually JUST happened which made me come on here to write a review. I specifically requested this for Christmas. Well, I got what I wanted and now I'm not sure I still want it. There is no doubt that this is pretty cool and fun when first taken out of the box. Some functions such as the time and alarms work fairly seamlessly, other functions were beyond frustrating. ivee does not consistently understand commands, even though they are the same ones used before. The instruction manual does not seem to sync up with some of the functions. In attempting to pick one of the six alarm sounds, ivee would only offer one. It wasn't until I downloaded the firmware update was this fixed. Then I attempted to set the clock to sound mode/system sound. Despite following the directions, ivee could not recognize the command. The snooze function for the radio alarm is terrible, and not usable. When depressed, it wakes ivee up, which then prompts her to ask for a command. Not what I want to hear early in the morning.
