- loud sound
- plays music from my iphone (though will not charge, don't recommend)
Now the more lengthy part
The BAD -
- when this sits on my night stand (about eye level while laying down) it is impossible to see the time because of the slanted design of the time.
- EXTREMELY bright even on DIM??? plus there is a blue LED bar along the bottom that lights up if you want to listen to music or radio at night. I put black tape over the bottom but still horrible design decision
I would have sent it back but by the time I would pay for shipping and other fee's it just wasn't worth it. In review, it is a crappy alarm clock (can't see the time from bed and my whole room is blue while it's on) and it won't charge/play an iPhone. save yourself the trouble and skip this one.

Summary: "Gradual Wake" is a Joke 2008-07-24
Comment: Keep in mind that I'm incredibly cranky thanks to being blasted out of bed in the span of five seconds without having any way to stop it other than to hit "snooze". When I read that this alarm had "Gradual Wake", I somehow conjured up images of those lighted alarm clocks that mimic the sunrise. Oh, how wrong I was. There is NOTHING gradual about the "wake" on this alarm. The volume is increased by three about every second, so if you don't shut it off very quickly, it becomes a blaring nuisance. There is no way to set the maximum volume for the "gradual" wake. There is no way to turn off the "gradual" wake and simply wake to a preset volume. You can try turning the volume down, but the unit will turn it right back up. Like it or lump it. I don't know who designs these alarms, but they really need to put a little thought into them before they produce them.
On the upside, it automatically sets the time based on your time zone using radio frequency. However, don't think that will save you in the case of a power outage in the middle of the night, because you need to confirm the time... and unless you've installed a backup battery, your alarms will also have been wiped out.
Sound quality is surprisingly good, and the dual alarms are a nice feature... but waking to your iPod is fairly useless on this alarm clock for the above reason.
