Comment: I received this TV second hand from my mother who was unhappy with the lack of closed captioning, although with such a small screen I don't know how clear the text would be. She had it for about a year before giving it to me Dec. of 08, so it lasted a little over 2 years. Not very long if you ask me but I am on here searching for a new one.
Since we got this TV second hand we did not get instructions, or have to do much setup. We simply mounted the TV plugged in the power, and cable, and we were done. That being said my mother is not always the most tech savvy, so I think if she can set it up most people can. Although it may not be the simplest TV in the world, it does get the job done.
Pros: -Small swivel screen easy to move out of the way
-Remote seems to be water resistant ( I had the TV mounted under a cabinet near my kitchen sink so often I was changing channels with wet hands, but since there are no individual buttons, I never had a problem with moisture getting into the remote.)
Cons: -Volume buttons changing channels (Perhaps because the remote is all one piece and does not have individual buttons sometimes when I would push one button a different function would result. It wasn't often enough to really bother me, but it did get my attention.)
-Preset volume (now again I did not have the manual perhaps if I had this would have been a Pro, but since I could not figure out how to reset it, this bothered me every time I turned the TV on. The volume is set to a certain number and no matter what it is on when you turn it off it always goes back to the same setting when turned on. If mine had not been set so high I may have enjoyed this feature more.)
The TV screen is what has pooped out on my unit, it just went white. I still have sound and can change channels but no picture. I mostly used the TV function but I did use the radio a few times, as for the WB function I don't even know what that is.

Summary: under counter radio tv 2009-05-12
Comment: The gpx KCL8806DT under counter 7 in. lcd tv is a very poorly made product. After buying 2 units the tv failed on both after 2 weeks of use. Save your time and money buy something with better quality.

Summary: piece of junk 2009-01-04
Comment: My wife always dreamed of having a little TV in her kitchen. So I bought this as a birthday present for her. We tried for weeks to get this piece of junk to work. Finally, she got so angry at it, that she pulled it off the cabinet and smacked me with it. This piece of junk almost ruined my marriage. I will never forgive GPX.

Summary: Worked OK for almost 2 years 2008-08-26
Comment: We really only used the TV function, rarely the radio. The TV worked pretty well for almost 2 years before it died this week. We have Comcast digital cable and got all of the channels. I don't remember having any problems setting it up. However, one problem from the beginning was that we could only change channels on the front of the TV (i.e. one channel up or down at a time), we couldn't change channels with the remote. After about 1 year, the on/off button on the front broke, but I was able to fix it more or less (had to take the front off and put a small spring behind the button), and we could still use the remote to turn it on and off. Two days ago the TV went stone cold dead. Just in case it was the cable, I tried hooking it up to a DVD player using the RCA jacks in the back, but only got the black screen of death. Although we only paid $120 or so, and it was a decent TV, it should have lasted more than 2 years, although it sounds like others got even less use out if theirs. I wouldn't buy another GPX TV unless it was under $50.

Summary: Didn't last a year 2008-01-19
Comment: We got this unit as a gift. It lasted 11 months and the TV screen quit working. Glad I didn't pay for it....
