A must-have for crowded kitchens and offices with little counter or desk space, the GPX D830 provides high-quality stereo playback for your CDs without displacing a single appliance. That's because the programmable CD player, which also includes an AM/FM radio, attaches neatly and conveniently to the bottom surface of a cabinet, desk shelf, or other flat surface, which is often the only unused space in a room. The location is so discreet that guests may have trouble discerning just where the sound is coming from. In the meantime, listeners can enjoy their favorite CDs or NPR programs while cooking up a pasta dish or working on a business proposal. To install, merely attach the included mounting template with wood screws, then slide the radio into the spacers.

The D830 receives crisp radio reception thanks to its PLL-synthesized digital tuner, which keeps static at bay. In addition, the radio includes 40 channel presets that make it quick and easy to jump from station to station. Additional features include a pair of front-firing full-range speakers, 20-track CD programming, a unified backlit LCD display, and a slot for a 9-volt battery (not included) to protect against power failure. The battery backup feature remembers the time and programming info should the power go out.
