I like waking with the sun, but in the winter, the sun comes long after I have to get up. I've thought about a sunrise clock for a while, but I can't bring myself to pay $100 for one. This one was affordable, so I purchased it and crossed my fingers. It has been fantastic.

The light does come on relatively quickly-- over the course of a few seconds, but it definitely helps with waking me. The light is a bit on the bluish end of the spectrum as opposed to a "warm sunrise" but it gets the job done well. The radio ramps up the sound so I no longer feel like I'm jolted out of bed. It has surprisingly good reception and really good sound for the price.

It took me a while to figure out how to program it (I didn't read the instructions), but it was quite doable.

I highly recommend this.

I live where it gets really dark in the winter, which can make it incredibly difficult to wake up in the morning. I was interested in getting either a timed light or an alarm that lit, but most cost more than I was willing to pay when I didn't know how well it would work (I'm notoriously difficult to wake up in the morning... sometimes three different alarms spread throughout the house doesn't quite do it).

I use the radio alarm, not the buzzer (it's an annoying sound). Hence, I've not used the Snooze.

Pros:
-Radio seems to have good reception and decent volume.
-Size is compact (width-wise, it's decently tall).
-Clock is easy to read.
-Buzzer is loud.
-The light works...as in, it turns out subtly, not abruptly.

Cons:
-While the radio alarm turns off automatically after an hour, the light doesn't turn off. You have to turn it off manually.

Ordered this on Thursday, it arrived on Friday from J&R. So far, it appears to be a good value. It has a line in for MP3 etc which is not mentioned anywhere in product descriptions.

The programming of the clock time, alarm time, light timer, leaves something to be desired, but i am sure that i will get used to it...

the buttons to program are on the back of the clock, far enough of a reach around the light that it's difficult to see the clock screen and the buttons at the same time. they did screen print the button labels in both directions, so if you are leaning the clock over you can read the labels correctly. that was kinda neat.

so combine the thoughtful label placement and the unexpected line in bonus, and it gets an automatic 4 stars. if the sucker doesn't work as expected (buzz/radio/etc) i'll update the review.
