GlobalSat GH-625M GPS Sports Watch

This is my first training watch, but I am a gadget geek, and I am very impressed. The GPS is fantastic. Compared to a friend's i-phone GPS and training app, it is much better. A run through Central Park (NY) on vacation was incredibly accurate vs very poor i-phone performance under the sporadic trees. Downloading activities to my computer is very simple using the free "SportsTraks" program that was suggested on the GS-Sport website (brand for GlobalSat's training watches). That software tracks all the generated data, including heart rate (that works very well, too), pace, distance, and all of the details. Sorting, viewing, and adding details is really easy. Exporting a finished run route to Google Earth is simple and really cool. The training watch is great during the run as well, with 4 screens of up to 4 customizable viewing fields per screen. I've had this for about 2 weeks and it works pretty good. The satellite takes a while to fix but when it does it hasnt lost signal once. It is very accurate as well, i compared my run to mapquest and it was almost identical. the user guide isnt very good and there isnt much on how to use the program but once you mess around with it for awhile it is easy to understand and it is a pretty good system for tracking workouts. my favorite feature is the heart rate monitor, it is comfortable and accurate. it is a huge help when exercising to know how hard your heart is working. Overall i think it is the best product of its type for the price, a bit confusing and a little to be desired with the gps but suits my needs perfectly.

So far I'm impressed with the variety of functions this device has. My only dislike is battery strength is not holding up as expected. Overall, satisfied with product.
