Product Description
The EZ Wake Digital SunRise Clock is the least expensive, QUALITY, dawn simulator on the market today. The EZ Wake Clock gently awakens you to a simulated sunrise rather than jarring you awake with a loud noise. Waking to the EZ Wake Clock helps you start the day in a better mood and more refreshed. The clock's light slowly begins to glow 30 minutes prior to the time you are to awaken and gradually illuminates until it is time for you to arise, at which time, if you choose, the audible alarm will sound.

Summary: Not worth it - Does not function as advertised 2008-11-10
Comment: This product does not work at all as advertised. The light does not come on gradually, but appears all of a sudden at the set alarm time and then turns off moments later. This is usually not enough to wake someone up.
The plastic seems cheap and the light is not very bright, it might be an interesting novelty to try for $20 but at these prices, I was expecting something more "high end" and this product just seems cheaply designed and poorly manufactured.

Summary: Nice idea but way overpriced 2008-10-30
Comment: I love this idea, and it is nice waking to light instead of sound, however I think this product is quite overpriced for what it does. For the price, I expected much higher quality; it's all made of cheap plastic with cheap buttons that feel like they're going to break. I'm tempted to return it and just use a wall timer with a regular lamp. The only added feature of the EZ Wake is the claim that it gradually wakes you over 30 minutes of increased light, however this feature seams to be broken on mine as the light just goes to full intensity instantly. Also, the sunset feature which supposedly decreases light intensity from full to dark over 30 minutes seems to be malfunctioning. It fades to almost dark within 5-10 minutes, and is off in 15 minutes. Considering other reviews, I'm confident the manufacturer will take care of this. However, if these features aren't extremely important to you, just get a wall timer for $10 and plug in your own lamp! 5 stars for idea and some functions I like, 1 star for quality considering the price.

Summary: Waking up was never so easy! 2008-04-18
Comment: I was a little skeptical when I bought this clock for my girlfriend, but it really works! The light starts to come on 30 minutes before the time you set and is fully bright by the time you want to wake up. If you don't turn it off before the time you set, a beeping alarm comes on to remind you that it's time!
It's a nice, gentle way to wake up.
We have to set it about 6 feet from the bed due to outlet placement, but it still wakes us up. I don't think she'll ever go back to a regular ringing alarm clock again.
Setting the time/alarm are a little confusing at first, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly.

Summary: I'm impressed! 2007-07-19
Comment: I wake up at 5:30 to go to the gym and this is so much better than being shocked awake by a beeping alarm and then blinding myself when I switch the lights on. The first time I used it my eyes just popped open 2 minutes before the clock was set to beep (as back up in case the "sunrise" doesn't do the trick!). My boyfriend also woke up just as easily, and he had only been in bed since midnight. We were both really impressed. The lamp brightens our large bedroom about as much as morning sunlight through drapes.

Summary: Dawn simulator 2007-02-05
Comment: I bought this product to facilitate getting up on dark Michigan winter days. It is thoughtfully engineered, well constructed, and extremely easy to use. It is a pleasure to awaken gradually to a dawn that is programmable.
