The clock is, as the other reviewer stated, light and at first feels "flimsy." It's plastic, and a little bigger than a deck of cards; smaller than I was expecting.
The 'ticking' issue is pretty irrelevant I can't hear it in my bed and it's literally fifteen inches from my ear, so it's really a non-issue. The light feature is great, the alarm works well, and the deco-styling is pretty nice for a clock this size. The top solar panel works as the "snooze" / alarm off button, which is handy.
Overall, quite pleased. I hope it holds up.

Bought this because I was looking for an alarm clock that wouldn't keep me up at night with the annoying red digital numbers.
THe unit was smaller and lighter than I thought, making it seem a little cheap. And also...it TICKS. I hate a ticking clock.
But the acsending alarm is nice and I like that you can press a button to light it up in the middle of the night.
All in all, decent.

This is a very cute clock (albeit platic). However I do have a couple of complaints: the solar light option was very weak at night, even when I put it right in the window in the daytime. Also, after less than two weeks the 'hand' for the alarm function just quit working; it hangs straight down with gravity. Maybe this is a fluke, and if I exchanged it the next would work. Hopefully, other reviewers have better luck.
