This review is from: Equity by La Crosse 33100 Electric Alarm Clock with Lighted Dial (Kitchen) ...a low-tech electric alarm clock. I bought this as a gift for my picky mother, who was distraught that her old bedside clock--a version similar to this one--died after many years faithful service. She wanted an electric clock (with a plug, not batteries) with a lighted dial and this one filled the bill. Simple, no frills..it tells the time and wakes you up. She also likes the silent operation (no ticking) and the soft-glow (kind of a pale orange) of the clock face. The first one I sent her didn't work, but Amazon replaced promptly with no issues. 29 of 29 people found the following review helpful: By Consumer (Small Town, CA USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Only the Chaney back-lighted the entire dial and the diffusion of light that way was more subtle and restful. The Chaney has a smaller area devoted to the clock face numbers. Depends on how myopic you are as to whether that's a problem. The trade off is a...Read more 15 of 15 people found the following review helpful: By RNS (Eastern Oregon) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Equity by La Crosse 33100 Electric Alarm Clock with Lighted Dial (Kitchen) After checking out a lot of clocks, chose this basic. Did every thing it said it would except keep time; every 3-4 hours the hands stopped moving. The $5 return charge for the $10 clock made driving over it for Holloween more satisfying. |
