If Beeps Drive You Crazy Don't Get This Clock,

I bought this clock at a local store, and wished I had saved the receipt. I find it easy to use, decent for what it's supposed to be, but I hate it and am searching Amazon for a new one because it beeps. A lot.
It beeps every time you touch any button. It beeps through changing the time. It beeps in the middle of the night if you turn the light on (loud enough to wake someone near you). It beeps at every command.
I liked the clock otherwise, but this is so annoying I've had to ditch the clock.

This is the worst alarm clock I've ever used,

If I had saved the receipt, I would have returned this alarm clock. It's never worked properly since the day I bought it. You have to slide a button to set the alarm, which should be easy, but you have to do a lot of fiddling to get the button to stay in place. And even then, you're not guaranteed it will stay set. The snooze button also seems to turn off the alarm for the rest of the morning. Maybe I got a lemon, but I'm on Amazon now looking for a new clock.
Works okay but quality minimal, alarm not very loud,

I bought one of these about 5 years ago at a local store and it worked okay until last month, but now the sliding selector switch is starting to fail so I have purchased a new one. The good and bad points of this product:
GOOD:
1. Uses 1 "AA" battery, and runs at least a full year on an alkaline battery. I try to avoid electronic gadgets that use "AAA", CR-2032, or 9 volt batteries as I never seem to have those on hand when I need to replace one. If you make it a policy to buy only "AA" powered gadgets, you just have to buy an 8-pack of "AA"'s every couple of years and you will never have a gadget die and not have a replacement battery on hand.
2. Folds up small enough to put in a shirt or coat pocket or toiletries kit when packing for a trip.
5. backlit display.
BAD:
1. Quality is about as flimsy as it could be. This new clock is noticeably lighter than the 5 year old one, so I assume the plastic shell is thinner, to save a few...Read more
