And, to my horror, when you take the CDs out there are big circular scratches around them. I lost two good CDs thanks to this piece of garbage. This "CD Clock Radio" is the worst purchase I have ever made. AVOID! 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful: By Frank Forrest "Quasar" (Northern California) - See all my reviews This review is from: Paradise Pallet Refill Dark Green (Electronics) My old CD alarm clock bit the dust and I purchased the Emerson model as a replacement. The unit looks very nice and the big LED display is crisp and sharp. Setting up the functions on this alarm clock was very easy to do and it has a good amount of features such as two alarms, option to wake up to radio or CD music, etc.
The worse part about this alarm clock is the terrible sound quality it gives. I've heard some bad radio alarm clocks before, but Emerson has outdone itself with probably the worse sounding CD alarm clock of all-time. Music, if you can call it that, that comes out of these speakers sounds as if it was pumped through a tin can...and a poor one at that. If the quality of sound doesn't matter a bit to you, you might want to get this...but considering that a CD player is supposed to play music, this one should be avoided at all costs. 9 of 11 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Paradise Pallet Refill Dark Green (Electronics) Bought this clock because I wanted one I could wake up to a CD. This one was the wrong choice! The clock is fast and requires resetting every couple days, the buttons are too small to find in the dark and the light is much too bright. For the cost of this clock, spend the extra $5 and get one that works. |
