Disney Pixar Cars Alarm Clock

Please be aware that the actual display of this unit looks nothing like the picture, which is just a sticker for display purposes. This is battery operated and the display is only readable in bright light normally. There is a backlight, that is actually pretty bright, but it is only on if you push down on the clock itself. Anyone who actually wants a Lightning McQueen alarm clock probably shouldn't be touching it. Our goal for this was to let our little Cars fanatic be able to know when he's allowed to get out of bed in the morning. He may not be able to tell time, but he can tell the difference between a six and a seven (or God help us a five) but the display is so worthless that there's no way that he could see it unless it's right in front of him and the lights were already on.

The description of this product is so misleading. It sounds like the display is backlit all the time, but you actually have to push down on the clock to make it light up - - - so needless to say - - - my son was up for 2 hours the first night getting up and pushing it to see what time it was because you can't see it in the dark (and not well in the light for that matter). The clock is VERY small, literally the car on top is actual size, I was not expecting that either. I took it out of my son's room when i found out that he'd been up pushing the button for hours. i'm sending it back.

This is a cute clock, just smaller than I thought it would be and the alarm clock isnt very loud, but my 7 year old loved it.
