This clock is not perfect, but it has been so useful to me that I felt I should review it.
Sometimes at night you want to see what time it is without having to hit a button for a light to go on (or worse) by turning on the light. You just want to be able to see the time and go back to sleep without moving your body! The light on this clock remains on whenever it is dark. This is useful also if you are practicing meditation in the dark and you want to just slightly open the eyes to see what time it is. I bring mine everywhere!
Yes, the light IS dim--but I am happy for that. I do not want a bright light at night, and it is bright enough for me to see the time.
There is a switch on the side which allows you to turn on the sensor which activates the clock's light during dark times. One should be able to open one eye at night and see what time it is. Traditional luminescence dims as the night wears on. Luminox is hard to find. This clock has a novel idea: the back light comes on when it gets dark and goes out when it gets light. This saves the battery by not being on all the time, and it doesn't require two hands to light it up. To my mind, however, the numbers don't stand out with enough contrast. Thus, I had to open both eyes and lift my head slightly to see the time. I could, however, see it so the clock is passable.
