This review is from: Chaney Instruments Sydney Alarm Clock (Kitchen) This is a wonderful good sized analog desk clock. I love it and I've only had it for 10 minutes. -Unlike most AA battery walk clocks this one is very silent - no tick tick tick to drive you crazy. - it's a simple to operate analog clock. - Note that is a oval (wide) clock and not round as in the picture, which makes it look even nicer - All the hands and numbers are luminous sure beats a digital clock! - this one for the price is a wonderful deal. Big enough for a desk but light enough for travel. Do keep it in a bag as the front face can scratch easily. It's 5" wide and 3" high (approximately). It's a comfortable attractive desk clock with no winding needed. 29 of 29 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Chaney Instruments Sydney Alarm Clock (Kitchen) I bought the Seiko alarm clock first, an indulgence at $45. But despite being near perfect in every respect the alarm was too loud. So I donated it to my son. The replacement -- handsome, functional, but ticking so loud that my wife moved it quickly into my bureau drawer, was the Infinity Instruments brushed nickel clock. I returned it after one night. I replaced the Infinity with this Chaney clock. Not perfect, but much quieter, the alarm is subtle, and it's inexpensive. Definitely a trade up. As other reviews say it is not exactly as shown, and the quality is not so high, it's just plastic, but it does the job--and I can sleep next to it. 17 of 18 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Chaney Instruments Sydney Alarm Clock (Kitchen) I wanted a simple analog clock that is easy to read, easy to change setting, reliable and of course inexpensive.
This clock meets all the requirements. I no longer need to push and hold multiple buttons when all I want to do is to turn on or off the alarm. There is a big snooze button on top that also serves as night light. The ticking noise is much lower than most mechanical clocks. And the look is clean and elegant. Oh, did anyone mention that the actual product is slightly oval rather than round as shown in the picture? |
