This review is from: Chaney Instruments Sojourn LCD Travel Alarm Clock (Kitchen) I use this little alarm clock at home and when I travel. On occasion I've even carried it in my purse. It's easy to read (nice big numbers). It's easy to set and reset during the day if you need to. Please be aware, however, for those who can sleep through most any alarm that this alarm does not sound for a long time (it's battery run after all). 31 of 34 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Chaney Instruments Sojourn LCD Travel Alarm Clock (Kitchen) First, I want to say that you should *always* have a battery-powered travel alarm clock in your luggage, with a spare battery. This is one of those basic must-haves for traveling. I have stayed at hotels which provided no clock at all. Some have a clock with no alarm. Some have a plug-in clock, and then the power goes out. Some have a really complex clock that you can't figure out how to set the alarm on! By always having one with you, you are sure that you wake up on time and keep track of your schedule.

It's much better to go with a battery powered one. I like the fold-up design of this one. When it is shut, the display and buttons are all protected. Your luggage can go through the most gorilla-like of baggage claim systems and come out unscathed. The unit is very easy to use. This review is from: Chaney Instruments Sojourn LCD Travel Alarm Clock (Kitchen) I've only had this for a week but it seems like a decent cheap alarm clock - I have no idea how it will hold up when I drop it. It is very lightweight, easy to set, the numerals are a reasonable size and you can illuminate it at night by holding a button. The illumination is only OK. Uses a button battery.
I'm always surprised at how bad the reviews are for basic things like alarm clocks, clock radios, travel alarms - you'd think manufacturers would have figured them out by now. So I'd like to put this into context - it is cheap and it is certainly no worse than a whole lot of other more expensive alarms out there. |
