This is a handsome and sturdy clock. It would be well worth the price - IF - it worked. We have had ours about two months and it stops once or twice a day. The description says "Begin the day along millions of other early risers waking up to the dependable loud bell alarm." Lots of Luck! Maybe I just got a lemon.

Absolute solid wind up back up alarm clock,

This is "THE" clock I've been looking for. It keeps "VERY" accurate time. You MUST wind up the clock's alarm and time keeping toggles on the back pretty much every night. The clock is built "VERY" solid and feels solid. It has the push button on top for when the alarm goes off. It will have your back during a power outage which is why I bought it to begin with. I HIGHLY recomend "THIS" clock. I've bought 2 others but like this one best of all.

The case, lens and controls are well made and of excellent quality; a very attractive clock. However, the clock mechanism does not match this quality. The control knobs are connected to very fragile shafts in the clock works and break off very easily rendering the clock of little use. I was very disappointed in this easy failure and did not consider it worth replacing..
