Big Ben 2000 Baby Ben Deluxe Clock

This clock sucks so badly that you could use it as a vacuum cleaner!
It keeps time very erratically. It will keep time perfectly for 3 or 4 days, then become very fast or very slow. If you adjust the fast/slow screw the clock overcompensates (if it was too fast it will now be too slow). It's supposed to run 36 hrs., but, now that I've had it for a couple of months, it stops after 10 or 12 hr.

Bottom line, don't waste your money. Spend a little more and get something decent.

The Westbend wind up alarms clock, especially the Baby Ben style, are my favorite clocks. It is very disappointing that of the three I bought recently 2 were broke within a week. They both just stopped! The wind up key is so close to the other tools that I keep breaking nails. I have been buying these alarms since 1979 but these clocks from China are deplorable in workmenship. I will be looking for another brand.

I bought one of these Baby Ben alarm clock, except mine has the black face with the chrome trim ring around the perimeter. The clock did not hold accurate time, even after adjusting the fine tune adjustment screw on the rear. I really like the looks of the clock in that it appears to have real glass and real chrome and medal housing. I had the same issue where the clock did not even run a full 24 hours even though it is supposed to have a 36 hour movement. Another bad thing from my experience is the fact that the knob that adjusts the time broke, probably due to the fact that it was only made out of plastic and could not withstand the torque of adjusting the time.

I really like the looks of the clock, but as others have said; it does not have the quality and longevity of the old time Big Ben clocks that were rather dated in their appearance. Oh yes....
