This clock from this seller was a tad pricier than others listed, but included FREE shipping. Westclox was...repeat.........WAS known for quality. Now, like most other items, it is made in China. It is not metal. It is plastic. And it never goes off at the time set. It will ring at any hour of the night or day. And to add further insult, the box from the seller had a K MART sticker, for half of what I paid.

Poorly made product. Bought for my elderly mother who previously owned one for many years. She had a hard time winding the clock. I tried it, and I had a hard time winding it as well. Clock never did work properly. My mother was very frustrated with it, so I returned to seller for refund. I would advise against the Big Ben or Baby Ben made in China. No even close to the quality of the old metal-body clocks from the 50's and 60's.

When we finally received the clock it would not wind. I am sending it back. Not happy at all;(. I have never had problems with Baby Ben products before, but this one was a waste of time and money.
