This is a great clock, easy to read in any lighting conditions and the back-light is very bright, enough to use the clock for a night light. The thermometer is accurate and can be set to C or F easily. The 12/24 hour display is very handy and easy to set too. Aside from one feature this clock deserves five stars.

The alarm on this clock is very poor. First it is very high pitched, higher than any other alarm I have tried. Second it is not very loud, I have slept through it a couple times, it won't even wake the grandkid if it goes off when she is napping. The last and fatal flaw is that the alarm tone kicks off for a few seconds then shifts to a higher tone for a few more then quits, never to sound again. If you are any but the lightest sleeper you are going to need a backup alarm to make sure you wake up.

I moved it to my desk where it looks great and the alarm is loud enough to remind me of appointments.

I wanted a small clock for my bedside that was easy to read and operate but wasn't always illuminated at night... and this little clock is perfect: compact, stable, big blue backlight (but only when I tap the easy-to-navigate button on top), easy to set and the alarm sound isn't obnoxius. I also like the date/temperature features. A satisfying purchase.

I was excited to get this product, and when it showed up, it mostly worked out great. The time is large and easy to read. The controls are easy, and the light was a nice brightness. However the thermometer never worked correctly and always displayed 77.0 F, when it definitely wasn't that warm! Then it just stopped working all together one night, not displaying anything. Might've been a battery issue, but then what's the point of the solar?

Great idea, fairly nice design, but it's necessary for the unit to work correctly!
