Comment: Amazons price was the lowest I found great little clock. If you put batteries in the clock it keeps time even with the power off. It has a nice soft lite so you can see the time in the dark. These westclox retro models are a good value. I even purchased a different model for another room. Something different but lots of fun.

Comment: This is a way cool clock. It is far different than anything else on the market. It slowly lights up the whole room and wakens you very very gently. It is great for people who don't want to be rudely awakened

Summary: i really want to love this clock 2008-02-18
Comment: This clock has some cool features. The bell is somewhat loud, but the flashing light usually wakes me up first. And I love it's look, with a couple of exceptions. As a designer, I'm bothered by the transparency of the left side of the clock, especially when my bedside table lamp is illuminated. Also, the light for the clock face has an orange-colored hot spot by the '3'. I'm not sure why that is, and if it's all of them or just mine.
Maybe I'm being too picky...I try to imagine that the original clocks had these same defects, and try to love the clock anyway.

Summary: China replica 2007-10-10
Comment: Fell for a pretty face.
After debating the merits of buying an original, decided to go with the 'reliability' of a new one.
Pro: Wife loved the blue color; I liked the retro look.
Con: China cheap, lightweight motor, Mylar(?) chrome strip.
Will this last like the original?

Summary: Beautiful and Functional 2007-10-01
Comment: I love the pretty pale yellow color of this clock, and the very soft light that it gives off all night. I was worried the back-lighting would be too bright and would keep me up, but I have this clock about a foot away from my face, and it has never been a problem. The blinking light alarm is great, and has the added benefit of letting me know when I am sleep-deprived --> when I am getting plenty of sleep, the light on its own wakes me up no problem, and I can turn it off before the bell comes on. Also, the manual scared me about turning the dials the wrong way, but I have accidentally turned them the wrong way a few times, and it still works. Great product.
